Home for me feels like Portugal...... I love the weather, culture, people, and especially the shopping!
An 8 day trip with my sister was all about relaxing, catching up with my friends and just enjoying the sunshine. I couldn't resist taking some photo's though.....
A combined culotte jumpsuit with super fine strap detail, a simple pair of black sandals and added accessories ... ready for dinner! Accessories included the fresh white Parfois clutch, black leather Massimo Dutti watch and a beautiful feather hair wrap! I have been hunting for a hair wrap for ages, and I found this beauty on a braid stall in the old town in Albufeira!
Photography taken overlooking one of my favourite beaches ... São Rafael beach, Portugal.
With sales doubling since last year, the jumpsuit should have been top of your wish list!
This casual, comfortable and chic jumpsuit complete with fitted waistline and belt was perfect for a laid-back vibe for dinner. In contrast to the bright, vibrant tropical print I picked my simple, white Next flats. Love them or hate them.....the flat sliders or Birkenstocks were key this season!
QED London offer some great vivid and loud colours and prints.....something I usually keep for holidays. But with Autumn and Winter looming, check out the tailored, smart, silk, glam jumpsuits on offer. Navy, black, red or metallics are right on trend...... Lavish Alice, Ted Baker, Little Mistress and Topshop have already caught my eye!!
Today I returned to Bonifacio in Corsica, 4 years since I worked a summer season on the island!! A beautiful, medieval fortress town which once housed Napoleon in 1793 which is brilliant for strolling around the alleys, boutique shopping and French cuisine.
My jumpsuit....definitely one of my best buys! I absolutely love this from O'Neill and when going on holiday this is always packed in my suitcase.....1 outfit complete!
This all-in-one is easy, effortless and ideal for a day or an evening out. Soft, loose cotton material; it is not too tight or baggy, yet comfortable to move around and sit down in.
My top tips:
* Right Fit - Not too tight so you cannot move around and sit down. But not too baggy....this should look feminine.
* Day/Night - Roll-up the hem lines and whip out the flats/flip flops for the day. Maximise your height with some pointy heels, you cannot distinguish your upper half to the lower half (if you are petite!)
* Minimal Accessories - Less is more, a jumpsuit speaks for itself so keep the accessories to a minimum. One chunky necklace, or a pair of long earrings will usually suffice.
* Colours/Prints - Plain black is a safe but classy/flattering colour for all body shapes, perfect for dinner or drinks. For those of you feeling more adventurous, a floral or bright bold jumpsuit can make you stand out in the crowd.
Add a layer if the weather changes; a crochet tassled black jumper was handy on this occasion........
Back in my second home Albufeira, I wanted to share these photo's taken last September as they are some of my favourites of my sister and I. Hugely influence by European fashion, Portugal is probably my favourite place for shopping. Small boutiques filled with unique goodies but also European brands such as Calzedonia, Bershka, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti, and Oysho are just a few to name.
I love prints especially florals and these extremely bright pink floral trousers were hidden away and had my name on them! Teamed with a plain black strap cami and other plain black accessories I was sure to make these stand out.
Keeping the theme of florals, my sister wore her green criss-cross floral jumpsuit. A simply, easy but vibrant outfit for the evenings.
Team up either of our outfits with some heeled strap sandals or wedges to add height. For those of you that have visited Albufeira will know that hills and cobbled streets = Flats!
